The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus
Just like the current iPhone 14 series, there will likely be four iPhone models in the new lineup. According to many leaks, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will have the exact same spec as the iPhone 14 Pro without the telephoto camera and the stainless steel body.
The new iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will have the 48-megapixel main camera and the A16 bionic chip from the iPhone 14 Pros. These phones will also get the new Dynamic Island display from the Pro lineup instead of the old display notches.
This is the only screen update you will get on the new iPhone 15 and 15 Plus. Display Analyst Ross Young did a post on X (Twitter) on September 2022, that he is not expecting iPhone 15 and 15 plus models to get higher refresh rate screens like Apple’s Pro lineup.
According to the latest leaks, iPhone 15 models will support 15-watt wireless charging using the Qi2 open standard, and Apple is finally shifting away from the Lightning connector and moving towards the USB-C charging port. It is still unsure whether Apple will allow users to use their Non-MFI certified USB-C cables to work properly with their iPhones.
The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Ultra
Yes, there’s a possibility that the iPhone 15 Pro Max might be renamed to iPhone 15 Pro Ultra. The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Ultra could have the biggest changes. According to the sources, the stainless steel body is gone and now Apple is building the iPhone Pro lineup frames with titanium. This will reduce the overall weight of the phones.
The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Ultra will come with a new processor called the A17 bionic chip which will be based on Apple’s 3-nanometer architecture design, which is Apple’s smallest silicon to date.
iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Ultra will have a thinner display bezel.
The Pro Models will have the USB-C port which will support faster data transferring speeds for large files and ProRes video files.
This year the iPhone 15 Pro Ultra may get a new 6x telephoto camera. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 15 Pro Ultra will have a horizontally mounted periscope lens and a camera unit inside the phone’s body, just like Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Ultra. This optical 6x zoom will help you get better zoomed-in photos with maximum details which was not possible with iPhone 14 Pro digital zoom.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the new iPhone 15 Pro models will have solid-state volume and power buttons, which will differentiate them from the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus versions. These buttons will not be mechanical, but will give you haptic feedback just like in the old iPhone 7 “home button”.
Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra Gen 2
Apple Watch Series 9 could expect a new pink color watch. The series 9 watches will be powered by a new S9 chip, which will bring huge improvements in the performance and battery life of the watch.
The new second-generation Apple Watch Ultra brings a faster chip and could come in a new black titanium finish. This black color will definitely look amazing with the new black titanium iPhone Pro.
