Apple’s iPhone 16 Event is Confirmed: Everything We Are Getting
iPhone 16 ‘Glowtime’ event is happening on 9th September, and in this event Apple is going to release new iPhone 16 lineup. Along with the new iPhone lineup Apple will release new Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra 3, refreshed iPad Mini, and fourth generation of AirPods. Let’s talk about what we are getting at this year Apple’s event in detail.
Watch Apple iPhone 16 Glowtime Event – September 9
Apple’s Glowtime event will take place on Monday September 9, at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET, 6 p.m. BST, 3 a.m. AEST). You can directly watch a livestream through Apple’s website or you can watch on YouTube as well.
iPhone 16 Lineup
This year Apple is going to release its first true AI phones with the iPhone 16 lineup. The lineup is very similar to last year, on the low end we will get two iPhone 16 models and on the higher end we will get two iPhone 16 Pro models. But this time these four iPhones are not going to be different. This year, all four models will share same core new AI features, like smarter Siri with Chat GPT integrated into it. Also adding bunch of AI features like Image generation feature where you can create new images or emoji, Image clean up feature where you can remove any object from your images.
This year all four new iPhone will share Apple’s new A18 processor series, but iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will come with A18 Pro processors. iPhone 16 and 16 Plus is going to have some design changes like new vertically stack camera design which will support 3D Spatial video capturing. New design changes in the non Pro iPhone series will also include the Action button which was exclusive to the Pro series iPhones last year. For photos and video capturing, rumours are there that Apple is adding a Capture button to all the iPhones.
Non Pro series iPhone models will be introduced in five new colours options: Black, White, Darker Blue, Turquoise Green, and Pink. Apple also increasing the size of screens on all four iPhones with improved battery capacity.
Apple is also improving the iPhone 16 Pro camera, the ultrawide camera is going to be upgraded from 16 megapixel to 48 megapixel, 5x telephoto zoom lens is also coming to iPhone 16 Pro. A new ‘Gold Titanium’ colour will be introduced for new iPhone Pro series.
Apple Watch Series 10 and Watch Ultra 3
Apple is going to release two new Apple watches this year: the Apple Watch Series 10 and the Apple Watch Ultra 3. The Series 10 Apple Watch will have the largest display ever on the Apple Watch, launching in two sizes 45mm and 49mm, which is the same size as the Watch Ultra. The casing of the Apple Watch Series 10 is thinner this year, with new faster chip. Not a whole lot of changes this year to new Series 10.
Apple Watch Ultra 3 is not going to have any significant changes this year, but instead a new black titanium colour is going to be introduced this year with new faster chip.
Apple iPad Mini
Apple is going to release a new iPad Mini this year with newer faster chip which will support all the Apple Intelligence AI features. However, there are no new bigger iPad mini changes are happing this year.
Apple AirPods
One of the big updates happening this year is going to be the brand new version of AirPods fourth generation, After three years since the last update, Apple is going to take the best features from their Airpods Pro series and putting it into Aipods 4.
Airpods 4 is going to have a new design and will also have a support of active noise cancellation, with newer H2 chip from Airpods Pro series, which will help in providing good audio quality and improved battery life. AirPods 4 case will also be the same as the Airpods Pro 2 case, with Type-c, speaker, and Find My feature built-in to the case.
